TL;DR: I led end-to-end localisation across multiple languages, collaborating with developers and external partners to improve processes, quality and accessibility. Delivered translations, QA and implementation in GitHub while creating workflows that ensured inclusive, consistent product copy at scale.

As the Product Owner for localisation efforts at two fast-paced SaaS companies, I led the end-to-end process of improving how product copy was translated, implemented, and maintained across multiple languages. The main goal was to raise the quality of localisation and build scalable, reliable processes around it.
I worked closely with an external localisation partner, managed the full lifecycle β from handing off source copy to implementing translations β and handled the technical side too, including working with JSON files, creating PRs, and testing changes in GitHub. While not a developer myself, I collaborated deeply with frontend and backend engineers to structure localisation files and workflows that worked for everyone involved.
In parallel, I introduced new internal processes to ensure smooth localisation of new copy, and helped onboard several new languages (including Danish, Dutch, French, German, Polish, Spanishβ¦etc.). As a UX writer, I was also responsible for creating and refining microcopy that was clear, inclusive, and easy to localise β making sure our product remained accessible and user-friendly in every supported language.
